The Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham
An Ordinariate is effectively a Diocese within the Catholic church, except that it is not defined by geographical boundaries but by membership.
The English Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham was set up to offer pastoral care to former Anglicans entering into full communion with the Catholic Church.
The person with pastoral care for the English Ordinariate is Bishop David Waller who was consecrated in 2024. He succeeded Mgr Keith Newton. The Ordinariate exists to promote active unity and to preserve an English patrimony.
